Setting up NETAGO email with Outlook

This tutorial explains how to set up Outlook 2003 for use with NETAGO email. If you are using a different version of MS Outlook than this tutorial should closely resemble the same options and settings.



Before you start
You will require some details from when you set up your NETAGO account.
You require:
The IMAP Server Name -
imap.netago.ca
The SMTP Server Name -
smtp.netago.ca
Your NETAGO Username - (for the purposes of this tutorial we will use demo)
Your NETAGO Password - (for the purposes of this tutorial we will use demo)

Open Outlook 2003 and from the top menus select Tools then Email Accounts...


Select Add a new e-mail account and hit Next >


Select IMAP and hit Next >


Your Name: Type your name here - this will be the name emails appear to come from (in this tutorial we will use John Smith)
E-mail address: Type in your email address - this will be the address that emails appear to come from (in this tutorial we will use demo@fusemail.com)
Incoming mail server (IMAP): this tells Outlook where your emails are stored. Type in imap.netago.ca
Incoming mail server (IMAP): this tells Outlook how to send your outgoing email. Type in smtp.netago.ca
User Name: type in your NETAGO user name - Your full email address user@netago.ca
Password: type in your NETAGO password.
Click the More Settings button.


Click the Outgoing Server tab
Check the box My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
Select Use the same settings as my incoming server - this allows NETAGO servers to confirm your identity for sending mail
Click
OK
Click Next >

Finish.

Click Finish to complete the wizard.
At this point, if you have entered everything correctly, Outlook should connect to NETAGO and download any messages you have.

You can now use NETAGO email with Outlook 2003.
